For the first time, a cohort from the Gutenberg School of Business (GSB) traveled to Vietnam as part of the international module. The collaboration with the Vietnamese-German University (VGU) in Ho Chi Minh City offered our 25th Executive MBA cohort and GSB ambassadors an intensive and intercultural learning experience.

The academic program combined in-depth insights into Human Resources, Banking & Finance, and Vietnam’s macroeconomic framework. A particular highlight was the workshop on intercultural communication with Andree Mangels, the contents of which were directly applied during a lively exchange with MBA students from VGU.

Company visits to organizations such as Endress+Hauser GruppeadidasTRUMPF Vietnam, and ECCOprovided valuable insights into the local business environment and encouraged direct dialogue with senior executives on site.

Another key moment was the visit to the Deutsches Haus in Ho Chi Minh City, where Elmar Dutt, General Director and Senior Vice President, presented the development of German-Vietnamese cooperation. Additional perspectives were shared by Aimee-Thụy My Phan from the German Chamber of Commerce Abroad in Vietnam.

Prof. Dr. Sebastian Herrmann accompanied our participants during the trip. We sincerely thank him for his dedicated support in Vietnam.

Our thanks go to all partners who made this journey possible – especially to VGU for the excellent collaboration. We look forward to further strengthening this partnership in the future.
