As a business school of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU), the Gutenberg School of Business Mainz (GSB) offers part-time continuing education programs for specialists and executives in the management sector. GSB offers two MBA programs at university master’s level that address the different needs of employees at different stages of their careers.
An examination board appointed by the Department of Law and Economics is responsible for ensuring that the examinations are organized and conducted in accordance with the regulations laid down in the examination regulations for the Executive MBA and the MBA.
In addition, the examination board, in which all status groups involved in the GSB Mainz are represented, discusses the results of the regular and multiple evaluations of the entire study program and the courses and decides based on this, if necessary, measures to be taken.

The courses at GSB Mainz are taught by professors of economics, law and social sciences, by pedagogically experienced managers or by professional trainers. The specialist and teaching expertise required for a broad-based general management course at a high level cannot be provided by one department alone. This is the reason why only a very small proportion of lecturers teach at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. The majority of lecturers come from other public and private universities or from practice.
