“My study trip to Ho Chi Minh City was much more than just an academic excursion. It was an extraordinary cultural and personal experience that left a lasting impression on me. As soon as we arrived, you could feel the pulsating energy of this metropolis, which was evident in the hectic dynamics of the street traffic, the diversity of the people and the constant flow of hundreds of scooters.

A highlight of the trip was the visit to leading companies such as Adidas, Endress+Hauser, ECCO and Trumpf, where we were able to gain impressive insights into the reality of international production and management in a dynamic growth market. It was particularly fascinating to see how these globally active companies combine local conditions with their corporate philosophy.

The exchange at the Deutsches Haus, a place of economic and cultural bridges between Germany and Vietnam, showed us impressively how valuable international networks are.

The program was supplemented by intensive lectures at the Vietnamese-German University. Topics such as Human Resource Management Issues in Vietnam, Banking and Finance Issues of Vietnam and Intercultural Management not only opened up new perspectives, but also led to in-depth discussions about cultural differences, economic development and management approaches in an Asian context. The content of this trip has opened up new perspectives that will accompany me in my everyday professional life.

The human experience of this trip was particularly touching for me. The open exchange with my fellow students and GSB alumni made these days a valuable community experience. The shared discussions, intercultural interaction and new friendships have broadened my view of global cooperation in the long term.

Vietnam deeply impressed me with its hospitality, its speed, its diversity and its pride. I return with a backpack full of experiences that have enriched me personally and sharpened my professional perspective, and I look back on this inspiring study trip with great gratitude.”
