Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz strives to make the websites of the “uni-mainz.de” domain accessible. The legal basis is the State Law on the Equalization of People with Disabilities (LGGBehM) and the Rhineland-Palatinate Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV RP).

The websites of the “uni-mainz.de” domain are currently designed with limited accessibility from a technical perspective. As part of the university-wide website relaunch, an adjustment of the framework layout and accessibility is planned. A prior change to the design of the websites constitutes a disproportionate burden for Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz according to § 7 para. 3 LGGBehM, so that it is thus exempted from the obligation of accessible access within the meaning of § 7 para. 1 LGGBehM.
