The GSB’s Executive MBA program at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz is one of the longest passing degree programs of its kind in Germany.
One of the most important goals of executive and management education at GSB is to develop participants into responsible leaders who are able to successfully carry out leadership tasks in a way that benefits employees, the company, society and the environment. It was in this context that the tradition of electing class patrons was formed.
Each year, the graduates of an EMBA cohort select a personality from the worlds of business, science or politics as the cohort patron with whom they can particularly identify and who represents the identity of their cohort.
The personality assumes the patronage of the respective cohort and is intended to serve as an educational background and inspiration for the alumni in their future leadership and management tasks.
