An examination board appointed by the Department of Law and Economics is responsible for ensuring that the examinations are organized and conducted in accordance with the regulations laid down in the examination regulations for the Executive MBA<\/a> and the MBA<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the examination board, in which all status groups involved in the GSB Mainz are represented, discusses the results of the regular and multiple evaluations of the entire study program and the courses and decides based on this, if necessary, measures to be taken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The courses at GSB Mainz are taught by professors of economics, law and social sciences, by pedagogically experienced managers or by professional trainers. The specialist and teaching expertise required for a broad-based general management course at a high level cannot be provided by one department alone. This is the reason why only a very small proportion of lecturers teach at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. The majority of lecturers come from other public and private universities or from practice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Executive MBA course, which has been running since 2001, is one of the oldest MBA courses in the German-speaking world and is aimed at specialists and managers with many years of professional experience in positions of responsibility.\nThe predominantly German-language program is designed to enable its participants to take on demanding management tasks in companies and public institutions.\nThe program is conducted online so that it can be studied from any location and enables a suitable balance between work, private life and further education.\nTo ensure that the central purpose of an Executive MBA program is the expansion of one's own network as well as interaction and personal exchange, it includes three one-week attendance phases at JGU. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second Master's program at GSB is an English-only MBA course.\nThis face-to-face course is aimed at employees with slightly less professional experience and a primarily technical background, but no management experience.\nThe course imparts knowledge of the relevant business and economics subjects and thus enables participants to expand their professional activities to include executive management tasks.\nIn addition to specialist training, the course also promotes further development in the area of soft skills by specifically training presentation and communication skills as well as rhetoric. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of both degree programmes is to train leaders who are able to develop and transform companies and organizations in such a way that they can hold their own in global, digital competition and at the same time are positioned sustainably.\nAlong with increased digitalization and automation, both value chains and markets are global.\nMore and more business decisions can be made on the basis of data and machine learning methods contribute to better decision-making in companies.\nFor GSB, sustainability means taking ecological, social and entrepreneurial aspects into account when making business decisions.\nAgainst the backdrop of the climate crisis, the impact on natural resources must also always be taken into account when making business decisions.\nFrom a social perspective, companies should not only maximize profits; instead, entrepreneurial action should always take into account the interests of employees, business partners and society.\nFrom an entrepreneurial perspective, sustainability means thinking long-term and not sacrificing the achievement of strategic long-term goals for short-term benefits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entrepreneurial action that attempts to achieve these, often conflicting, goals in an international and usually unpredictable environment requires a profound understanding of macroeconomic interrelationships and entrepreneurial processes as well as adaptive-analytical transfer skills to solve complex problems.\nIn addition, responsible decision-makers need access to relevant, up-to-date knowledge.\nIn its programs, GSB imparts these relevant interrelationships, mechanisms of action and management skills as well as the necessary knowledge.\nThe GSB acts as an interface between business and science by communicating the current state of research on the successful and sustainable management of companies in an application-oriented manner and demonstrating how this can be applied and implemented in business practice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An examination board appointed by the Department of Law and Economics is responsible for ensuring that the examinations are organized and conducted in accordance with the regulations laid down in the examination regulations for the Executive MBA<\/a> and the MBA<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the examination board, in which all status groups involved in the GSB Mainz are represented, discusses the results of the regular and multiple evaluations of the entire study program and the courses and decides based on this, if necessary, measures to be taken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The courses at GSB Mainz are taught by professors of economics, law and social sciences, by pedagogically experienced managers or by professional trainers. The specialist and teaching expertise required for a broad-based general management course at a high level cannot be provided by one department alone. This is the reason why only a very small proportion of lecturers teach at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. The majority of lecturers come from other public and private universities or from practice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
